I believe in the worth of every living creature. Sometimes the subjects and materials we may be tempted to fault or dismiss are the very ones to serve in transformative images capable of elevating humanity: rats, wounds, and work made of scavenged garbage join hummingbirds, the reflection of light, and the angelic. My sculpture does not strive to deny that challenges exist in our world. Guided by God, it seeks to raise awareness of humanitarian and environmental issues via the visual embrace of all encountered along my path.
