Sea to Shore: Sculpture Inspired by the New England Seacoast

This juried exhibition of contemporary sculpture opened at Governor John Langdon House at 143 Pleasant Street in Portsmouth, N.H. on June 2. The grounds are open daily, the House is open Friday – Sunday from 11 am – 5 pm
Organized by Historic New England and the New England Sculptors Association, Sea to Shore presents forty-five sculptures from twenty-nine artists working in alabaster, marble, fiberglass, copper, steel, wood, clay, fieldstone, granite, and other materials. The artists drew inspiration from the natural world, the history of the coastal fishing industry, folk tales, sea vessels, and the simple freedom to enjoy a day at the beach. Their work will be on display in the historic rooms and on the grounds at Governor John Langdon House.
