Watertown Community Sculpture Walk
The City of Watertown and the New England Sculptors Association invite all 3D artists to submit works for the inaugural year of outdoor sculpture installations along the Community Path from Watertown Free Public Library Parking lot to Waverley Avenue. We welcome works from artists from all diverse backgrounds, exploring the theme of “The River” as it connects the past, present, and future of Watertown. Entries will be juried by the Watertown Public Arts Committee with NESA acting as an advisor.
Call Dates
Call for Entry: September 12, 2022 – January 8, 2023
Notice of Acceptance: January 27, 2023
Installation: April 24 – May 5, 2023
Opening Reception/Artist Talks: May 18, 2023 5pm -7pm
There is no fee to enter this call.
Each sculptor will receive a $2000 stipend for a two-year loan of their work.

There will be two opportunities to learn more about the Community Sculpture Walk and the application process.
Saturday, October 15, 4-5pm: Site Visit Interested artists are invited to meet with Liz Helfer, Public Arts and Culture Planner to see the site. Meet at the start of the Community Path behind the Watertown Free Public Library, 123 Main St Watertown, MA 02472.
