Juried Exhibition for Sculpture

POSITIVITY

Sculptural perspectives on Positivity (for 2021 and beyond), to be displayed indoors at Newburyport Art Association, Newburyport MA, as well as on the NESA website with voting for a People’s Choice Award.

An online reception and awards ceremony will be held Saturday May 8th 5:00pm 

SHOW DATES: APRIL 27TH THRU MAY 9TH

Two awards will be given: a Juror’s Choice Award and a People’s Choice Award voted by viewers online and onsite.

WE NEED YOU TO VOTE AND HERE IS HOW: If viewing the show on site at NAA, there will be a way provided to vote in person, and/or if viewing online at

Our esteemed JUROR – Christopher Gowell has sculpted the figure for 50 years and holds a BFA from UNH (and has taught figure sculpture there), and an MFA in Sculpture from Boston University. She founded the Sanctuary Arts School And Sculpture Center in Portsmouth NH. Christopher has significant public pieces to her credit, Manchester NH, Nashua NH’s canal waterfront, and Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH. She is a member of the National Sculpture Society and Ogunquit Artists Collaborative. Her work can be viewed at Bowersock Gallery in Provincetown MA, and on her website: www.christophergowell.com.
