The Art program at Bradley International Airport is offering this very interesting, unique opportunity which provides prominent visibility for your work. The airport has several rotating exhibits and a few permanent pieces. You can see some examples HERE
One of the rotating exhibit areas is located pre-security, at 4 entrance/exit doors. At each location there are glass cases, visible on 3 sides. Each is 14’ long, 4’ high and a curved side with a bottom width of 4’6”. Given the 3-sided viewing, 3-dimensional pieces are ideal for the cases.
The spaces are offered to local artists from Connecticut and Western Mass. This is a year-long loan but compensation is not offered.
The work does not need to be newly created. Placards with information on each piece would be printed by the airport, along with informational sheets. Though pricing on items is not allowed, the artist’s contact information is provided should someone want to purchase a piece. If the work is purchased, it may be removed so the artist can complete the transaction. The information is also available on the airport website.
