Women’s History Month Talk with Sculptor Meredith Bergmann

Saturday, March 28, 11 AM

Renowned sculptor Meredith Bergmann is best known for creating thought-provoking public monuments honoring diverse historical figures, especially women and civil rights icons. Such works include the Boston Women’s Memorial and the Women’s Rights Pioneers Monument in New York City’s Central Park. Her “Something is Being Done,” celebrating 26 bold Lexington, Massachusetts women, was unveiled last year in conjunction with the town’s Revolution250 observances. Bergmann will share insights into her creative process, technical challenges, and her use of the medium as a tool for social justice.

This event is free and will take place at Robbins Library, 700 Mass. Ave., Arlington. No reservations are required. Presented by the Dallin Museum and Robbins Library.
