Mara Sfara

My art is a search for connection — between people, animals, and the invisible forces that shape our lives. Through Lucite sculptures embedded with stardust and emotionally luminous oil paintings, I explore light, fragility, love, and empathy. Each piece seeks to hold both presence and absence, asking viewers to reflect on what it means to be human in a changing world. The Lucite sculptures capture animals in their essence — recognizable, yet stripped of unnecessary detail to preserve their purity. Infused with holographic sparkles and natural stardust, they become more than representations: they are vessels of memory and wonder, suspended between the everyday and the cosmic. These works invite the viewer to sense the permanence of form while feeling the impermanence of light.
