The Wrack-line- the shifting boundary along the shoreline where tides deposit natural and human-made debris as the high tide recedes. This is the space where my practice begins, by collecting objects —some familiar, others strange and unplaceable—materials shaped by use and erosion. As I gather, deconstruct, and weave these materials, my work explores processes of transformation can help mend our relationship to the environment and reframe what already exists. Collecting debris through shoreline cleanups is the first step in this process, where removal and sorting become as meaningful as the final form. Transformation becomes an act of repair and recomposition, helping to quiet the anxiety of living in the Anthropocene.
