This exhibition is a long-standing and popular collaboration between NESA and ValleyCAST. This year’s exhibition will be curated by Nikki Erskine, Director of ValleyCAST. ValleyCAST’s mission is to foster a creative and engaged community in the Historic Blackstone Valley that is inclusive and supportive of all people with and without disabilities. The beautiful Spaulding R. Aldrich Heritage Gallery is located in the Whitin Mill Complex.

There will be 4 awards of $200 given – a Curator’s Choice award and 3 People’s Choice awards.

The Alternatives’ Whitin Mill Complex is situated on a 1+ acre parcel abutting the Mumford River and the Ring Shop Dam. It includes five buildings totaling 32,000 square feet, including one of the earliest cotton mills in New England. Open Sky Community Services provides services and supports to more than 5,000 adults, young adults and youth with mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, brain injury, substance use disorders or other complex challenges.
